How do you know it is really a spirit you are talking to?

By the information that is given. Much can be said in generalizations that a talented mentalist could claim as communication but in most genuine readings trivial information comes through like a shared memory, a song, a scent, something individually recognizable.

How do infants, stillborn babies or children that were miscarried communicate?

The loss of a child is the hardest and longest lasting pain that we endure. It matters not if the child was with us for nineteen years or for an hour. Our children that pass to the other side before they have learned how to verbalize their feelings very often communicate to us through another loved one. I have seen deceased mothers, older children, grandmothers even aunts and friends holding a baby in their arms to let us know that they are with the child. As time passes for us here our children grow and mature on the other side and will often appear at the age they would have been had they stayed with us in the physical.

One memorable reading I did was for a woman who was asking questions about her daughter who was still in the physical. A young man showed up, I was not sure who he was in relation to the woman but I was immediately struck by the young mans beautiful smile. He kept smiling and calling emphasis to his mouth. He then said that he was looking out for his sister. The mother then recognized her infant son who had a disfigured face when he was born. He lived only a short time and she had carried the burden of guilt for 19 years that something she had done had made her son become so horribly disfigured. The message that he communicated to his mom was that he was perfect on the other side and that there was no blame. In this case, no words were needed as the beautiful smile said it all.

What did I do that was so wrong that my child died?

As parents, we tend to believe that we are the protectors of our children so when a child dies we cast the blame on the most logical person, ourselves. Yet when spirit communicates they almost always say that it is no ones fault. God would be the last one to punish us by calling a child home before it was time. It is not God's will that we have broken hearts nor is it the child's will. Very often they will not tell us why they left so soon as though we are not meant to know. I firmly believe that no one passes to the other side before their correct time and that the reason they came in the first place and left too soon for us will be revealed only when we reach the other side.

Are they happy on the other side?

As hard as it may seem, yes they are happy. It is not that they are happy that they are no longer with us in the physical but that they are joyous in their return to their natural state. I have experienced a range of all the emotions, sadness, regret, fear, pain, anger, laughter and confusion,as the spirit communicates but the emotion they strive the hardest to communicate is love. I will often find myself laughing out loud during a session only to have to explain to the bereaved person that the joy they express is sometimes hard for me to control. Many people think that their loved one should be as sad as they are but in fact, the spirit recognizes that they are not someplace else, but perfect in form and expression. They seem to want more than anything to let you know that they are alright, happy, joyous and excited to communicate.

Do our pets go to heaven?

You bet they do. I cannot count the times that a person on the other side has shown me the pet that was so loved in the physical right there with them. From cats, to dogs to horses and even an iguana they are holding them, playing with them or just showing them.

Is it wrong to seek contact with the other side?

It is my personal belief that it is not wrong to seek contact. However that is not to say that we should wish to stay in constant communication with them. If you had the opportunity to let someone that you love know that you are safe and well, would you not choose to do so? Many religions teach that we should not seek contact with the dead. I can understand the confusion that this might bring about, but in my own experiences not once has anyone on the other side said "I wish you hadn't done that"; they always seem eager to communicate with their loved ones. There are times though when the spirit that you wish to speak with is unavailable for contact. They retain their free will on the other side and I have found that they continue on with their lives. So sometimes the phone rings and they are not there to answer. There are also times when the conditions are just not right for communication. Many factors can determine this, the vibratory level of the medium, the vibratory rate of the spirit, the intent behind the communication and many other things. If you wish to seek communication please make sure it is not for a trivial reason like to test the medium or some other such nonsensical thing. Spirit seems to dislike annoying phone calls as much as we do here in the physical.

Why can't I communicate with my loved one?

You do! They hear you when you speak to them. They often come to us in our dreams for that is when our vibrations most closely match theirs and also because we will accept their presence in a dream more readily than in the physical. They answer your calls for recognition by doing things that you might understand with the least amount of fear. For instance, blinking lights when you are thinking about them, touching you on the top of the head or shoulder, causing you to remember something you hadn't thought of in a long time, moving a picture frame or favorite toy, switching the channels on the TV and many other ways. We as humans tend to pass these experiences off as imagination but the spirit will keep trying unless it causes fear. They do not want to distress you but comfort you.

What happens to those that commit suicide?

In my communications with those that have taken their own lives, I have discovered that death was not the end to their problems. They may have ended the immediate problem in their life, such as illness, loneliness, fear, etc., but they all, and I do mean all, express regret in taking their own life. They discovered that life does not end and they must face the consequences of their actions. The greatest consequence being the reactions they caused in those they affected by their suicide. They still have the same issues to work out that they had on earth but they no longer have the means to do so as they would have if they had stayed in the physical. Without exception those that I have spoken with urge others never to commit suicide. That in itself answers the question. They do not burn in hell but suffer in their own confusion until they reach an understanding of how precious life is.

Do evil people ever come through?

I have never communicated with an evil person. There are two reasons for this. (1) Like attracts like and they tend to stay away from those that are not of the same mind set and, (2) those that have committed heinous crimes do not seem to have ascended to the level of communication with others. I have been told that they spend a long time in a level which they review the consequences of their crimes and learn to take the responsibility of those crimes. Just because we die does not mean that we are instantly good and loving people. There is no such thing as death and so we continue to learn and experience on the other side. However, I think that those that are considered evil get a lot of help in this level and do eventually proceed along the path of spiritual remembrance. I have seen spirit that committed a murder come forth to ask for forgiveness or to furnish information about the crime that aids in solving the crime. At that point they are not evil, but very remorseful and very self condemning.

Do spirits predict the future?

I believe that they can but seldom do they. We are meant to live our own lives and I think that those on the other side have a prime directive not to interfere in our own learning process. The advice that they often give is just as they would have done in the physical with one little twist. From their place in Spirit Space they have the advantage of seeing all the pieces put together. They can see all the logical conclusions of our present actions. Much like Mom tells her children not to play in the street. On occasion they have given advice about some upcoming matters but you can clearly see that the advice came from something going on in the present. I have witnessed spirit preparing for the reunion on the other side with someone in the present physical life but it has always been in direct response to a question put forth by their loved one. For instance, " Will Grandma recover from this illness?" It is as if they confirm what you already know in your heart and nothing more.
