Spirit Space was orginally designed to be one person's attempt to share knowledge and experience with those that wish to make contact with departed loved ones.  It has since evolved into a community of caring souls all sharing the concept of being harbingers of hope and love to those that suffer the pain of loss.

So begins the tale of the birth of this community....

I, Diane Wilson, have been a student of metaphysics all of my adult life.  I became a professional psychic many years ago and pursued the dream of spiritual counseling, incorporating not only past, present and future into my readings but encouraging others to learn to do what I do.  I was not born a medium, nor struck by lightening and suddenly gifted with amazing talents.   While we are all born with the capability of using our psychic abilities, few of us consciously do so until later in life.  So it was with me.

I was quite happy reading for many people and sharing the spiritual principals that I had come to accept as the basis of my belief system.  One day I was reading a young woman that had lost her son when I was presented with the sudden "knowledge" that I was not alone.  I felt the overwhelming presence of someone other than my own guidance.  This young man became the first of many souls that I was to encounter from "Spirit Space" my term for the other side.

I did not ask to develop this ability in particular.   I remember shortly before this happened being in a period of my life that turned out to be one of those crossroads we all face.  I got down on my knees and asked that I be shown how to serve others in the highest and best way that I could.   It took a while for me to realize that this new way of seeing was part of his answer to my prayer.  The highest and best way for me to serve was to ease the suffering of those that had lost loved ones, to assure them that death is by no means a separation, for love endures throughout eternity.

Then, as God in his infinite wisdom often does, he directed me not to call attention to my own light but to enable each and everyone's light to shine as bright as it may.  With God as the founder and myself as the co-founder, Spirit Space was birthed.  The brightest candle in the Universe is the one that is used to help light other candles.  The purpose of Spirit Space is to share, to care, to learn together and to light the candles of the world.

It seemed that from the very first day this site was on the net a stream of kindred spirits were drawn to it.  The first of many was a talented young woman named Gayl McKinley.  I  had learned many years ago to listen to my own guidance and when she appeared they confirmed that this was the person that would enhance and carry the spark of Spirit Space.  We all know Gayl as Hanna.   Hanna has become not only a person who has learned to connect within, but one that shares that knowledge quite freely.  Although she tends to work behind the scenes, keeping all the aspects of this site running smoothly, she is an integral part of Spirit Space.  My partner and my friend, I thank you.

Spirit Space has evolved further through the use of our chat room. It has proved to be one more way to share and spread light throughout the Universe, and has become a meeting place for those of like mind, and those seeking help and comfort.  It took a lot of urging from people like Mar, Nix and Dark|Star to get us up and running, but it has proved a blessing in many ways.  We are especially proud of all of our graduates that have come through our doors.

Spirit Space has been blessed with many lightworkers, some in the physical and some in Spirit.  Together we have become a community, sharing tears, laughter, hope and dreams.   Everyone is a teacher and everyone is a student.  We all have something to share and together we enhance the realms of Spirit Space.

The lovely souls that have allowed us to carry messages to their loved ones have shown us that we do not die; there is only life. They have shown us that they continue to be a part of our everyday life for as long as we need them and that they are there to greet us as we enter spirit space.
